Hi everyone,<div>I am new here (although I have been a lurker for a while) and am ttc. I recently met with a high risk OB recommended by my CF Dr to discuss pregnancy, meds, CF, the works. She went through all of my meds and said that all of them should be fine to continue throughout pregnancy. </div><div><br></div><div>I looked up Pulmozyme on safefetus.com and found that it is listed as class D. YIKES! My OB said it isn't a problem at all so now I am not sure who to trust. Have any of you been told that you should not use Pulmozyme during pregnancy? Did any of you use Pulmozyme and have healthy babies? </div><div>Thanks for your input!</div><div>Emma</div><div>><a href="<A HREF="http://hopefulwithcf.blogspot.com/">http://hopefulwithcf.blogspot.com/</A>"><A HREF="http://hopefulwithcf.blogspot.com/">http://hopefulwithcf.blogspot.com/</A></a></div>

The information on safefetus is incorrect. Pulmozyme is a Cat B pregnancy drug.. <A HREF="http://www.pulmozyme.com/info/prescribing.jsp">http://www.pulmozyme.com/info/prescribing.jsp</A><br><br>My doctor never took me off pulmozyme for either of my preg's. But, I did elect to delay it till after my 1st trimester. But, I think that really was overkill, and based on emotion. I think it is a safe drug for pregnancy. And in reality, you may be setting yourself up for a bad situation, bc if you get a virus and aren't on pulmozyme, you'll probably be in a position where you'll need even more drugs which could be more stressful to you. Speaking from experience! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"><br>

I was told that Pulmozyme is a class B, and have been on it my entire pregnancy so far (I am 22 weeks with my first). The only meds that I have discontinued during my pregnancy are Tobi and Colistin.
Good luck!

Thanks for all your replies. I love Pulmozyme so I would hate to go without it even more a short period of time. I am going to try to contact safefetus.com and see if they can change their data. It would be horrible if CFers stopped using such an important med because of incorrect information!
