I have the documentation that it is a specialty drug but their comeback is that it was a Mistake that the covered it. To me this sounds like Fraud. I am going to turn them in to the insurance commission and hope I can find some other families affected because I know we are not the only one. I thought it was pretty odd that back in november when we started to have problems with this no one knew what was going on with the claims processing.

I will fight this one for as long as it takes.

You might also consider having your prescription filled with the CFF Pharmacy. They work with the insurance companies to help get things covered. Since they specialize in CF patients only, they have the procedure and the right DX codes down pat. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> It won't help your past meds, but might be useful in the future.
