As far as I know you can leave it out for up to 24 hours.

Our CF doctor told us it is shelf stable and can be left out much longer than 24 hours - as long as it doesn't get above a certain temperature. I can't remember what the temperature was though. As just1more said, as long it is clear it is fine.
