Pulse-Ox reader

I've got the fingertip style one that doesn't store data. I found mine on Ebay for about $85. It came with a stethoscope and little cover for the reader itself. I compared it side by side with the one at my doctor's office to make sure it got accurate readings, and it was right on target. I like to use if for spot checking my sats, especially if I wake up during the night feeling short of breath.

I just got a Respironic Pulse Ox (www.respironics.com). I did some research and since I had used that kind before, I wanted to keep it. So, I got my CF Dr to write a presciption for that specific type and model. I took it to my local pharmacy that has a medical equipment department. I just gave the girl the Rx and my insurance info. She contacted my insurance company to see if it was covered and their provider to see if they could get one in. Yes, my insurance did cover it. It cost $700-900. I got my EOB today and they billed my insurance for a little over $700. It is one of more costly ones. You can search google and see what you get. I know a website I order my nebs off of has them...www.buyemp.com.
