This QR code leads to Beleache's Great Stride event!

Though they have been around for 17 years, and used widely in Japan, QR codes are now appearing everywhere: business cards, stamps, stickers, coupons, wrapping paper, boxes, magnets, letterhead, envelopes, signs, TV commercials, and billboards. They also work on fabrics (T-shirts), metals, building materials, plastic, and any where you can put a readable sign. They are 2-D targets easily scanned by a mobile device with a camera (smart phones, iPad 2, XOOM etc.) and downloaded with a QR Code reader application (often free).

What you need:

A webpage URL. (the donate landing page at the cff is what I used for this one...Joanie's page for this one). I went to the cff.org, looked her donate page and copied it.

Then I went to the first link above....create a code....I copied it in....and voila we now have the code.

Think of a bar code on the food products in the grocery store...they are all unique.....these QR (quick response) code goes to unique web pages.

GOT IT????

Because now you need a code reader...and that would be your mobile phone...that accepts apps and has a camera.

I phone, android, iPad 2. And others.

You can use the link above to download a reader app.

GET IT???

You have a unique QR code you can print on a T shirt or a sign at your Walk...and people who know whT to do....have a smart phone with a QR reader...will point their phone and your donate page will appear...

May e they will donate right there!!
