While it may be useful to have secondary coverage, the cost for the secondary coverage would have to negligable, as my husband and I already pay in excess of $300 a month for employer based coverage.

Yes, it all comes down to money. My husbands previous job we paid over $10,000 a year out of OUR pockets for health insurance. His newest job that he has been at for 3 yrs we now pay $2,000 a year, so that makes a BIG difference!
