Question about Airplane and medicine?

Good point. I do carry a letter from my doctor. Nobody has ever questioned me, so I haven't had to pull it out, but better safe than sorry.

Hi Jennifer,

I fly a couple times a year. I just flew last week and I have become pretty good at getting through security now. I put all my meds in one carry-on bag. Then at the security checkpoint, I take out all my liquid meds (inhaled liquids, etc) and place them in the tray out in the open. This way they will not have to search your bag. Also, make sure your original RX labels are included in the packaging as well. If the whole box won't fit in my carry-on bag then I just rip off the label and put it with the med. You must also take out any neb machines as well. Sometimes you have to even go into a separate security line if you have these items.

Hope that helps!

We have flown twice this year with our son. As soon as we got in line we told them we had medical supplies and liquids. We carried on a small cooler with ice packs, medicine, milk and applesauce for his creon. I did put the rest of his medicine in two ziplock bags. They did a hand check on the cooler, medicine and nebulizer (everyone was very understanding when I asked them to put on clean gloves and explained the situation). Keep in mind we also went through with a car seat, stroller and a cpap machine but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. On our return flight they didn't even check the cooler and medicine - just sent it through the xray.
Hope you have a great trip!
