DS' were every color of the rainbow -- mainly greenish, yellowish with green flecks, sometimes orange. Similar to what you're describing. I'd never seen normal stool from DS until last summer when we finally got his digestive issues under control after a bowel obstruction.

Now that his digestive tract seems to be working, his enzymes are working and we have normal brown stools. Except yesterday when he had a blue and green jolly rancher popscicle. Then all bets are off <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Whoever thought we'd be poop artists, getting such a kick out of describing our kid's works of art! You all know I'm just teasing!!! Hey Ratatosk...do you by chance know anything about elastase numbers and whether your doc considers most healthy non-cf kids should be near or above 500? I know 200 is borderline pancreatic sufficient, but I want to know if doctors think that 200-400 is still a little more characteristic of CF? Or is this a healthy range as well for non-CF kids? My daughter's doctor is basing some of his diagnosis on her pancreatic elastase results, which the office simply told me is "less than 500". I asked "How much less?" They said the lab never told them, but they're assuming they're not critical or the lab would have flagged it. In my mind, numbers would help, because if it's 201, we're bordering on problems. If it's 499, I can rest easy.

Sorry, I know nothing about elastase tests. DS was born with Meconium Illeus, a dietician came in while he was in the NICU and took a diaper sample for an elastase test and when his doctor was told -- his response was "Why the heck did they do that? We already know he's pancreastic insufficient. Plus he's already on enzymes"
