Question about hypertonic saline.

<P>My little boy turned 4 on Wednesday...Yeah!!! We also had clinic on Tuesday. He did awesome looks great! We are now going to start him on hypertonic saline. I have read plenty on that. I just have a question about what Pari cup. Which one do you like better the regular Pari Plus or the Sprint Pari. Our respiratory therapist said the "Pari Sprint" works better for the hypertonic saline. Just thought I get some input before I spend the money and buy a collection. I figure I can use the Pari cups I have now for Pulmozyme, and Get the Sprint cups for Hypertonic saline plus more hard plastic Pari Masks. Buy another Giant stock pan & drying pan. (Never had another neb). I want to make it as easy as possible. Thanks again for all your love and support the last four years. I have used this site for a big tool and to keep my sanity. Thanks SOOOOOO MUCH!</P>

I am allergic to both Tobi and Pulmyozyme so I depend only on sailine 7%. I have been using the Pari Cup for a very long time. It is possible that the Sprint cups may be better but I would try what you have first.

We use the sidestream for bronchodialators, hts and pulmozyme (but put the pulm in its own separate dedicated cup). Not sure if it is the right thing to do, but she seems to get the meds accordingly. The thought of organizing multiple types of nebs would just add additional unwanted chaos to our lives<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

A couple sprint cups will make it easy to keep the cups separate from what you use for Pulmozyme, but you can also consider marking the pieces of a few of the regular pari cups with dots (I use sharpie and the dots last a long time before starting to fade, even with washing and boiling) to tell them apart. At any rate- no need to buy another pot. After all, they are going in to be boiled after being washed and rinsed thoroughly. They can be sterilized and dried together. :)

We have a few of the sprint cups and I personally prefer the regular pari LC cups. The flip top of the sprint is not particularly well made, the inside piece is harder to clean, and it's very hard to see how much is left inside without opening it up (despite claims to the otherwise by Pari.) It only runs maybe a min or two faster, not really worth it to me.
