Like Tammy's daughter my DD was misdiagnosed for so long. It was because rectal prolapses that I kept looking for answers. She had several over 4 months and doctor's kept saying she was constipated. Her prolapses were big and she would say that she wasn't finished pooping. Poor thing I felt horrible every time she had to go potty. When she finally was dx she started taking enzymes and she doesn't have them anymore.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>I could see some pinkish, reddish tissue, but it did NOT actually hang out. I could just see it, inside, as she was pushing out towards the end of pooping. I tried googling pics, the tissue itself looks similar, but like I said, it doesn't actually protrude out. I can just see in, I guess.</end quote></div>
Emily was not dx'ed until recently, but she used to have 'diaper blowouts' all the time as an infant/toddler and so I'd often have her on the floor, legs up, trying to swap out a fresh diaper for the one she'd loaded up, and I can remember seeing this! I didn't know what it was either but for some reason it never set off alarm bells for me, since it always went away when she was done pooping. I always associated it with straining, even though she wasn't constipated. (She had so many things, looking back now that 'could have been' related to her CF that we will never know now for sure, of course. But she too, had this.)
