Tobi is good for 28 days (as said <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> ), and last I checked, Pulmozyme can be unrefrigerated up to 24 hours. Hope this helps.
For what it's worth, I used Pulmozyme for an entire month that had not been refrigerated, and there was absolutely no difference in my sputum consistency, clearance, etc. I keep it refrigerated, but just thought I'd share that experience.

Once when I went to pick up my pulmozyme I discovered that it was not refrigerated and the pharmacist immediately called the company (Genentech). They told him that it can be out for 3 days (72 hours). We figured that it was out for 77 hours so he threw it away (he ate the cost of it) and overnighted me a new batch. Now that is service.

I would like to thank everyone for thier advice. I called the apartment manager and told her about the situation (having CF and medication delivery) and explained the importance of being notified when my medication arrives. She assured me that from now on they would not only call me when it arrives but that they would also put it in the fridge until I get there. Also got profuse apologies and well wishes. I guess sometimes there are advantages to being open about having CF.
The meds were fine. At least I have done them for three days now and am actually feeling better!
It is nice being able to post from home. I usually sign on at work or when I am at my Papaw's home...last night I bought a laptop computer and this is the first site that I wanted to visit. Of course, I had to let my son go to Cartoon Network first.

Unrefrigerated is one thing, but letting it get too warm is another. Unless the meds have been in a relatively cool spot (if your doorstep is in the shade or something) they temp may have gotten too high for them to be effective.

They were indoors (unrefrigerated but in a cooler with icepacks) from Thursday afternoon until Friday morning. The manager assured me that when I called on Friday they put the whole box (which contained a styrofoam ice chest) in the fridge. The ice chest may explain why nothing felt cold- I guess the styrofoam is as good at keeping the cold out as it is of keeping it in. I think that since it was in the fridge it was probably ok. I told them next time to go ahead and open the box and take the stuff out of the ice chest and put it in the fridge.
UPS won't leave medication on the porch or the patio because someone has to sign for it. I tried to get them to do that with my meds that don't have to be refrigerated.

UPS leaves all my meds (refrigerated and non) on my porch- I just had to sign something giving them permission (that the carrier had) and telling them where to leave it and no problem. It's been that way for the almost 8 years we have lived here. ???
