Question for Julie

Hi, I was wondering if you could take a look at this shake and tell me what you think (since you seem to know a lot about this stuff). I have been taking this for a while now (no CF) and have a friend who gives this to her son (no CF) and have been wondering if this might be better for Sydney than the Carnation Instant Breakfast that we are currently giving her bc this has much more protein, less sugar, more vitamins etc.... If you could take a peek at this link then click on the nutrition facts link-I would REALLY appreciate it!!

Hope you don't mind me singling you out here...
Thanks,
Kelli (mom of Sydney 2wcf)

Kelli, I got home really late tonight (I worked 18 hours today and then had to do a command run for 4 miles-aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh). Can you either email this link to me (division902@hotmail.com) or refresh this post in the morning because I am so exhausted I am afraid I will forget. I will get back to you before the end of Friday evening though!!

I know that I'm not Julie, but I thought I could contribute so...Having CF, I have tried numerous shakes (Boost, Ensure, Carnation even Slimfast, but as a between meals snack not meal replacement). None of them made a bit of difference. However, I started taking Reliv 2 1/2 years ago and it has made major improvements in my health. I would check out Reliv for your daughter. You can read more about my experience (<A href="http://www.geocities.com/MurrensNatureMama/Reliv">www.geocities.com/MurrensNatureMama/Reliv</A>) or you can feel free to email me at <A href="mailto:jaloughlin3@sbcglobal.net">jaloughlin3@sbcglobal.net</A>

I feed pediasure to my 2yr old all the time he loves it just not the chocolate. If he cuts down on the amout he drinks a day he drops weight. He has not been drinking it for about a week has an uri and has lost 4lbs. I can see his ribs for the fist time in months.

HollyCatheryn, do you distribute the product? I have heard the same thing you rave about from about 10 other people (some with CF that we met at our local CF walk and some without). If you distribute, I'd love to buy from you. If not, I will order offline and give it a try but thought I'd check with you first!

I do not distribute Reliv, but my distributor is awesome and I'd be thrilled for you to use her. Her name is Betty Freeman (<A href="mailto:bcfreeme@aol.com">bcfreeme@aol.com</A>). She isn't huge about email, but does check it. If you would like her phone numbers I'd be happy to share them in a private email. You can email me at <A href="mailto:jaloughlin3@sbcglobal.net">jaloughlin3@sbcglobal.net</A>. It is important to actually go through a real person, not just the internet (at least initially) so that they can guide you and help ensure that you are using the proper product(s) for your needs in the correct amounts. Most agree, though, that the best place to start is basic nutrition. That would be 1/2 scoop of Innergize in whatever flavor you prefer and 1 scoop of Now or Classic. I advocate using Now for people with CF because it contains vitamin K. I'll be happy to answer any questions you have. There are lots of different ways to make the shakes. I take mine just in water, but used to make them in grape juice. My mom makes hers like smoothies, with fruit and milk in a blender.I always tell people when I talk about Reliv, that it has done way too many great things for way too many people not to just give it a shot for six months. The nice thing about Reliv is that it does MUCH more than simply give you calories to help keep your weight up (if you are using it in addition to meals, rather than as a replacement). It nourishes your body in such a way that it can begin to balance itself. Of the three of us in my immediate family, I have had the most dramatic changes in health, but we have all seen improvements. These changes and improvements are directly linked to Reliv, because it was the only thing about our routine that is different.
