I continued to think about this last night. When I would pump breastmilk for Alexa there was a lot of fat in the breastmilk. Of course I am not sure how much fat there would be in non Cf mama pumped breastmilk but there was a good thick layer of fat on top of the milk I pumped.

Thanks Melissa. I love the pic. It says so much about a Mother daughter relationship!

Yeah, there is a thick layer of fat in mine too, so maybe that's not it - but maybe our enzymes affect that fat somehow, kwim? I actually have no idea, I am just conjecturing stuff. Someone who knows more about milk production would probably be able to answer this (Or I could get motivated and do a bit more resesrch!)

I am pancreatic sufficient so dont know if I count but I never have seen the 'seedy' look DD"s is more rolley looking almost like chopped spinach I guess. Hers is normally the mustardy yellow but sometimes it will be orange, dont knwo what that is from but it never lasts more than 1-2 poops. When milk cools the fat collects on sides and around the top but I wouldnt say there is a 'layer' of it. DD was just under 25% curve at birth, then at 2 months she was at 50% and then at 3 months we didnt go to dr but lookign at chart she is around75% so I woudl say she is more than fine--she is rolley polley chunky monkey and I love it!

I have to figure out how to get a picture on here, I will be gettin gher 3month/easter pics back tomorrow (a bit late).

Also wanderlost the CD's do make a difference when I used that I think the solids particulates got wetter and so it looked like less 'pieces' in the poo. With sposies liquid sinks in and is pulled away more and you are left to see the particulates more.
