Hello Ladies

I was just wondering if any of you experienced cervical inflammation. Meaning do you ever feel inflammed during intercourse? Does your gyno. ever say that you look inflammed when you have your annual?

I am asking just out of curiousity because I have had my gyn comment multiple times about my cervix appearing inflammed and mentioning that another patient of hers - also with CF - has similat issues with inflammation.

Thanks for any input - take care and have a great day.

Take Care,
Lindsey

Yes, I do. I'm always inflamed or have cervical erosion (but my pap smears come up fine). I thought that perhaps being on the pill had something to do with it, but I've never been sure.

Yep I have it also. I was told I have the cervix of a pregnant woman and that it is very inflamed. I also have a lot of mucus there also. They told me that there is really nothing to do for it as my Pap also came up clear. Another fabulous CF thing!

You are suppose to have annuals? lol...Only kidding. I have never been told this, but I have experienced pain. I dont know if its from an inflammed cervix or not tho.

I believe it is possible that we all have issues similar to this. I was never told that I had anything like this but would not rule it out (I am going to ask next time I go). My doctor knows that I use tea Tree oil suppositories every now and then. I believe this would help with reducing any inflammation. Tea tree oil is anti fungal and anti viral and if there is anything growing that can cause inflammation, it could help. I love the smell.

Edited to add: If there is a reason why this is happening, I would suspect it could be diabetes and the relation it has on the immune system.

I have not been told this. But I did have a hard time conceiving my second child, and my OB felt maybe in the years that passed between my first and second I had accumulated more thicker cervical mucous making it harder for the sperm to swim through - and if that's the case, maybe this inflammation will arise as that mucous sits up there for a while? i think this is pretty interesting.
