Thank you for responding. Debbie yes he has been tested, and yes he does eat dairy. So that is something to think about. My question I guess just if anyone had any suggestionsor advice. And yes alittle bet of venting. Thank you again!</end quote>

Please be aware that not all food sensitivities show up as allergies. So your son may have tested negative for allergens that he may actually be sensitive to, but tests don't reveal it. Only trial and error worked for me.

Secondly, I would recommend taking him off dairy completely. I evaluate children who are referred for varying issues that cover the spectrum. With no exception, the congested kids with ear infections and colds and allergies and whatnot, all were taking dairy products. Once this was removed from their diet, their congestion began clearing up. Some children are just more susceptible when ingesting mucus-inducing foods. Other foods could be producing that mucus too. For me, avocados made me congested. Go figure. And if I'd be tested for it, I guarantee nothing enlightening would be discovered. So please educate yourself as best you can because there are a lot of things doctors don't tell you that are truly vital to know.

May your son be strong and healthy soon!
