I used to smoke so much pot when I used to live on my own a decade ago. A friend and I woke up, smoked a joint or 2, then people would come over, we'd smoke them up, then after a few hours they would leave, and more people would come over, and...well you get it. I don't mean to glorify its usage, because you can get in tremendous trouble just possessing it, just ask Micheal Phelps. Haha, at least no one will be able to say that weed makes you lazy anymore, as Phelps won big in the Olympics.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
But considering the legality of it, I strongly feel that marijuana should be legalized. I think it's intrinsically wrong to throw people in jail who are hopeless and depressed enough to use marijuana to forget their problems. It really bugs me that alcohol and cigarettes are freely available, while if abused, they are even more dangerous than weed. I think if the public readily accepts those products with warnings on them that they are dangerous, why then can't a bag of marijuana be legal and have the very same restrictions? Criminalizing marijuana is not the right answer, and in turn creates more crime, mostly due to illegal trafficking, and the many profitable "street pharmacists."
