Don't need enzymes with fruit, clear candy, popscicles, juice -- things that are simple to break down and have no fat.

Yes, we love fruit snacks and popsicles as snacks here... no need to break out the enzymes for them!! However, she gets them at school no matter what, otherwise they are hopelessly confused over what she gets them for and what she doesn't... so much easier to just have them in the habit of poking those enzymes in her mouth every time she eats!

eta: Our nutritionist told us that some centers have their kids take enzymes for ALL foods & drinks, fatty or not, but that they (our center) just were not finding that necessary to support good growth. Our center's kids average BMI is 59% so our nutritionist is clearly doing something right. <img src="">

LOL Harriett, let's not confuse the school!

Tabetha, as a general rule I give Noah enzymes whenever he ingests anything other than "clear liquids", i.e. applejuice, water, jello, popsicles... He must also take enzymes when he takes his other meds, found out the hard way that they don't get absorbed if not. Don't know why...must ask idiot GI doc.
