I think because they believe the obstruction was mechanical, possibly brought on by scar tissue and adhesions and that it just suddenly happened... One day it wasn't there, next day it was.. that they want us to continue on as we did before, but to play around with the enzymes -- increase the number. And to monitor his progress -- output. They discussed percentages of this ever happening to someone and think they said 1%.

I have noticed he's had more normal colored poop -- brown and not the greenish/green flecks.

In any event, he's apparently decided to be a mystery to everyone -- had his own time frame for recovery and a very round about way (rocky) in reaching that goal. Needless to say we'll be a bit gunshy for awhile.

Whew! I'm glad you're home and Max is getting back to normal. Poor guy.

How frightening that something like this can "just happen" so suddenly. I guess I never thought about it before. I'm sure you'll be gunshy, as you put it, for a while. Me, I'd worry every few hours that Em was "overdue" for a poop - but that's just me! LOL.

VERY glad you're home and it's behind you now!

Ah yes, the good ol' "monitoring output" job of a CF parent. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

So glad you are home and hopefully enjoying a relaxing long weekend.
