Eek! Last night on our walk, DS mentioned that he wants to have his birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese and invite his friends from preschool. He's got it all figured out Went to one last winter and that's ALL he talks about. I'm NEW to all this! I know they have birthday packages, we'll have enough relatives around to keep track of everyone. Any suggestions!? His birthday is on a Sunday, but I'm thinking about having his party the week afterwards during the evening...

I just don't see myself as one of those grown-up types of parents who host kids birthday parties. And what if I LOSE someone's kid?

Go to Chuck E. Cheese and talk to them about the party packages. It is really easy to do and they put out most of the work. Depending on how old your son is, I am not sure that many parents will be leaving anyway. I did one like that for my son when he was 6 and it went really well and easy. Good luck.

sounds like a fun party. I would try to keep it smaller, maybe let him choose as many friends as he will be years old...if he will be 6 then he gets to invite 6 friends.

Last time I was at a Chuck E Cheese, they stamped the whole groups hand with a certain number in an invisible ink (visable under a black light)and when you left, you could ONLY walk out the door with a child IF the number on their hand was the same as yours. They have it even on their website http://www.chuckecheese.com/th...kid-check-program.php

I say go for it, just keep it managable and maybe only 1 1/2 - 2 hours, just to keep your stress level down. Good Luck and let us know how it goes

I like to consider myself the Queen of birthday parties for Jazmine. Chucke Cheese is a good spot. Its easy, self contained & fun.

As was mentioned all kids get stamped for entrance & they "man" the door to verify who has paid etc. Its difficult to "lose" a kid!

They have a lot of toys & games there. I enjoy it myself.
