Your comment about losing a kid absolutely set me off cracking up, Liza. Chuck E. Cheese is very well contained, I think its a great place for a party and am considering having my almost 7 yr olds party there. If you are concerned about keeping an eye on all the kids, maybe invite the kids with parents if they want to stay.

I'm so glad our Chuck E. cheese doesn't have one of those gross ball pits, now that I know that I'm not so freaked aobut letting Alyssa go.

Go for it! You pay, the kids have a BLAST, you walk away with clean hands, they walk away happy. A total win-win. Next year he'll think he's too old, so you won't have to go through this. (It will be at the gymnastics center or the rock-climbing place then, even more $$$!)

Liza I really think you should convince your son that Hooters would be a much more fun birthday party for him and his friends. You could definitely get your husband to go (and probably some of DS' friend's dads!!) and help watch the kids AND DS could snack on lots and lots of deep fat fried pickles.

Atleast that would alleviate some of your stress. Just a thought.
