Recovery time after sinus surgery

How long did it take after surgery before you felt good to do everyday stuff, go out, and return to work. And by go out, I just mean going to the store and visiting family. Also did you have to stay overnight in the hospital, and did you feel like you could have went home that night?

All my sinus surgeries were done outpatient and I went home about 1 hour after the procedure. Most of the time it takes me a day to feel better. One of my procedures I had on Friday and I returned to work on Monday.

I had sinus surgery a little over a year ago. Within a week I was at the sinus doctor's office but exhausted after the "cleaning out". I would say 2 weeks later I was back to my old self. I was a bit more zonkered because we had just done a tune up as well. Usually 1 1/2-2 weeks later I am back to my old self again. Still avoid bending over for about a month, though.

I had my surgery on a Thursday and I was back at work on Tuesday, I believe. I also went home the same day. The first couple days post-op I was pretty out of it, although I did go to the Farmer's Market with my mom. Also, I went back to the doctor 2 weeks later to remove the splints in my nose, another procedure which wasn't that big of a deal.

My daughter had surgery on the day before Thanksgiving, we went home Thanksgiving morning, and she was ready to go have dinner with the family that afternoon!! I was sure that she would not feel up to celebrating the holiday, but she was! She went back to school on Monday<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I did not stay overnight for mine. I went home the same day. I had extensive surgery. I was fine to go out after a week but i had to make sure I had tissues for nose bleeds. I followed my doctor's directions faithfully and didn't have a problem at all.
