Hello I am fairly new to this forum, I am an RT that is married to a 33yr Young CF'er. I am not sure about it but since finisihing her last round of IVs a week ago she has had bad arthritic pain in her hands, sore sore back, very tired alot and has small red rash bumps on her legs and chest. Is this normal CF stuff or perhaps something else like the flu or alergic reaction to something?

Any thoughts and thank you in advanced...<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Are the bumps hot to the touch? Did she run a fever about the same time? I have flare ups that cause terrible pain and high fevers. I dont get the bumps as much as I used to, but still the flare ups. My rheumatologist thought the symptoms resembled Still's disease and he is still bewildered. All my symptoms started when I was about 9 and so throughout the years of many flare ups, the arthritis is now constant. When I do have a flare up, the only thing that really works is prednisone. I am hearing that alot more CFers are having this problem....is another strange complication of this disease. I know soaking in a hot bath helps...at least for a while. I wish her all the best and pray that it doesnt become a constant thing for her. Take Care.

She has a fever of 101, Almost like a drug reaction, we looked up she may be having a possible drug reaction between Tramadol and Flexeril. If not better we are going to go see the Doc in the AM.

You definitely dont want to take any chances if it is a reaction to the meds. Hope everything turns out well. Good Luck!
