Respirtech vest coming today!

I'm so excited about Lili's vest coming today. Our clinic seems to wait a lot longer to prescribe them and I went to clinic last month ready to argue my case only to be met with - ok she's now big enough what kind do you want?
So my question is can I do it at the same time as the pulmozyme she does in the morning? I have a call in to clinic but wanted to see how everyone else is doing it.

Thanks in advance.

The Vest lady that "trained" me when mine came said you can do any nebs at the same time as the Vest. They prefer you do the neb first, so it has a chance to work some before therapy. But it's perfectly safe to do both simultaneously. So if you can make time for one before the other, I would suggest it. If not, the same time still works. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Yep! Just remember to do the nebs in the correct order to get the most benefit. Bronchodilators first (Xopenex, albuterol), then Mucolytics (pulmozyme or mucomyst), then antibiotics (TOBI, Ceftaz, etc.)

The Vest is SO great and effective. I was never able to get anything up with the HillRom version, but the Respirtech one is AWESOME. It's so much more comfortable and not as clunky and scary.

All the best,
Lauren

Ditto -- yep, perfectly fine!

That's great you are getting the Respirtech - we just got one about a month ago for our son. Our daughter got a Hill-Rom a year or so ago. I think the Respirtech is a nicer machine.
