Dori, I pushed for Isaac to be tested because I have cf and husband was only tested for 89 mutations prior to conception so we wanted to be sure he didn't have cf. We were hoping to be able to "close the book" on cf and Isaac. Turns out he got a mutation from dad after all... S1235R. Now we are getting husband tested more extensively...who knows maybe there will be another chapter to this book, but I sure hope not. Good luck to you and your family.

My 7 year old son has the same mutation S1235R as your child. It is so hard to find information because it is so rare. The tests only showed the one mutation which from my understanding of what we have been told would mean he is only a carrier, but he has chronic sinus/ear infections, lung issues and immune issues.
