Rings Question

I could always tell when I was getting sick because my rings would get lose (my body was burning up more calories being sick than I could take in), I always took them off in the hospital so I don't really have an answer to that. Now whenever they get lose I just change my rings to a bigger finger. (feels funny saying that, my smallest ring that I'm wearing is a 3.5 and the biggest is a 5)

Incidentally, right now I'm only wearing my wedding band, and not the engagement ring with it. The smaller, lighter band stays put better and I don't have to keep twisting it back around so it's "Right side up" like I'd do with the engagement ring.

I take my rings off at night because when I wake up my fingers are also swollen. During the afternoon my ring seems to be more loose than when I first put it on. I usually dont have a huge problem with it since I had it resized to a 3.5. When I got it done it was in the fall, during the afternoon. I could have gone down to a 3 but I wanted to be sure I could get that baby off when I did gain weight. I would also not take a shower with your ring on. It could easily go down the drain and you wont be able to get it back. Also, it makes it look dull with all the shampoo and soap build-up. If u really want to wear it when you shower, I would get the ring insured. That way if you loose it they will pay for it. You should be able to put it on your parents homeowners insurance. Those ring adjusters that Allie posted are nice, but because of the way they attach to the ring, they can (and usually) scratch the gold. There are plastic Ring Adjusters but they dont seem to work as well.

I had to take my wedding ring off as it was getting too tight, I guess I have chubby fingers. My rings always stayed on because when I was younger and playing rugby, most if not all of my fingers were either broken or badly injured, as a result my finger joints are a bit bloated. going to the length of getting your fingers broken would maybe be a tad extreme.

MY rings are tight in the am & they loosen up with the day. Not enough for them to fall off thanks to my larger knuckles. Only when I was under 90 pounds did that happen, but I like it when I am on iv's with it in my left hand. My hands look "healthy & full" thus showing off my lovely acrylic nails & rings. To answer your ?? unless I am severely underweight....I suck it up & deal with it!
