Im pretty nervouse about this whole tropical storm turning into a hurricane its possible for it to come into my area and im a nervouse wreck !! I live in Orange Texas , does anyone else live near the areas that it is going towards?

I'm near San Antonio. I think we will be ok. Especially if it stays on its course. If it goes through corpus christi the center of the storm would go through us. My neighbor has people coming to stay with her, family members, that are from Galveston. I wish it would just go all crazy and dissappear before it hit land, thats a big wish isnt it. I hope everyone will be ok. If you have to evacuate i hope you are able to get all you meds and things. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.

my parents are stuck in traffic w/ half a tank of gas and no gas stations have any left...then need water & gas... i'm scared <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

911 or your local hospital emergency room. Are you anywhere near a military installation? They contract with the public and in cases of emergency

well its not for me thankfully a friend of mine is from texas and they dont know how they're going to evacuate. They cant put the quadriplegic member of the family in a car drive for hours and then run out of gas.. Thanks for the help

I posted earlier about my parents running low on gas/water - they made it here safely and were able to get gas, etc. Since the storm went down to a cat 3 & shifted, my area was not hit nearly as hard as expected. HyperactiveDreamer - from what I've seen on the news, you were right where the eye made landfall; let us know how you are when you get a chance... you have been in my thoughts and prayers.

WOW, READING EVERYONES POSTS, EVERYTHING THAT IS GOING ON IT IS SO SCARY, AND I AM SCARED FOR YOU GUYS...I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA AND I THINK THAT A EARTHQUAKE WOULD COME WAY BEFORE A HURRICANE, BUT NOWADAYS U NEVER KNOW WHATS GONNA HAPPEN....I DON'T PRAY THAT OFTEN, BUT I WILL FOR SURE FOR ALL YOU GUYS!

Hi Debra im back that was very sweet of you i prayed everyday of the disaster and thankfully he answered every prayer ..Im back home again when we first got here it was a horrible sight but our home made it through , im low on my meds but as soon as a pharmacy opens ill try to get my refills , im sorry about the incident you went thru i bet it was horrible i hope your okay now? My family and i evacuated to Dallas and weve been home for a week and a half now and we barely got our lights and water on today im so releived! The only bad thing is ive been feelin kinda sick so hopefully i can see my doc soon ..Well take care Debra and thanks for your concern hope ur okay! <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">
