Robot vacuum

From my experiences it works more like a vacuum for us. We have 2 dogs, and that filter picks up all the dog hair plus some! I don't use it on the hard wood floor, it doesn't really pick stuff up there. However most of the house is carpeted and I let my little robot go to town <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">

I was doing some research and although the Cleanmate has some great features for cleaning hardwood floors, it is not as good as the Roomba on carpet.
Which Roomba do you have? There are so many. I am trying to get a quality one but I don't think I can afford top of the line either.
