Hi, I'm Debra; 20 years old (21 next month - yay!) and am currently attending Baylor University in central Texas. When I'm not at school I live w/ my parents in Houston. Unfortunately I don't have any siblings, although I was always trying to convince my mom to have more kids when I was younger <img src="i/expressions/angel.gif" border="0"> I was diagnosed w/ CF a few months ago, and it's been quite a ride, but I'm doing pretty well right now. I'm studying Psychology/Neuroscience and I also play water polo for Baylor, which is tons of fun. Oh, and I have a wonderful boyfriend, Michael, who has really been soooo supportive and encouraging throughout my new diagnosis, etc.

You did a great job on the icon emotions, Mockingbird. I wasnt meaning anything bad about them. They are adorable but just not what I was expecting on the puppy one. But may be used as a possible surprised look or someting. Kidding. HaaHhaaa. Becky

I'm maggie, 18 w/cf. I actually just moved back home to my parents house after a month of college that got me on two weeks of iv antibiotics. i'm currently considering a career as a respiratory therapist. oh, and i live in michigan.

Hey mare, where are you from? I am from NY, but worked in a small community hospital in CT...okay, now you got me curious!LOL!!! I am still in "lock up", but docs are happy with my progress and hope I can go home next week after 6 weeks in the hospital....I am getting used to the hospital look, the nappy hair, the lovely gowns....I don't know if I can give that look up (NOT!!!!) My Name is Fred, I'm the "Dude" living in Japan! (I never dreamed of living my life here, though)
I'm 40 years old with CF, diagnosed at the age of 7. I don't seem to have any lung infections, but I've had been conjested the last several months. My digestive system has gone haywire on occasion, but due to the diet here, I haven't had much trouble the last few weeks.
How I got here is a long story, I can post it for those who are personally curious.
I'm originally from the Downriver area of Detroit, but have been here for 12 years, now. My parents and sister moved to Colorado a few years ago, so when I return, that'll probably be the area. (Hopefully in the next 4 years or so)
I'm less than a month new to this forum, but have enjoyed it so far.
Not only do I get to see an exchange of information among fellow CF'rs, I can also relate to fellow Americans!
Since my 12 years here, I have rarely come across a fellow American, much less another foreigner.
My background is in Electronics- I love cars, and wanted to be a mechanic, but my dad suggested Electronics would have a cleaner envoronment.
I tried the BioElectronics Field, but it was hard to get into--It would have been an even cleaner environment, wouldn't you say?
Unfortunately with my work situation now, I need a better working environment, soon!<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0">
All the ones who are from Michigan, what part of Michigan are you from?

Hi all,
I'm 35 w/cf from Minnesota.. name's Rich. Diagnosed at 6 months of age and also have/had 2 siblings with CF. Was doing fairly well til 4 years ago after a particularly nasty exacerbation, been on disability since. My wife and I have been married for 9 years and have a houseful of pets to keep us occupied<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
I spend my time hanging out with friends, looking after my pets, serenading them with my guitar and watching too much tv. Oh and surfing the net.
