Thanks so much everyone! I'm glad to know that I'm not alone in feeling that there are families more needy then us. I'm very glad though, that it's there, and that we can use it. I found the website for the RMH we'll be staying at, and I'm planning on taking up a few things they need, if we can afford it. Just because we can't afford a hotel room, doesn't mean I can't afford paper towels and toilet paper!

Don't feel guilty about it at all. If you need it, you need it. From what I understand about the RMHs they wouldn't have offered you a room if they had other people that "needed" it more (people with kids in the PICU, chemo patients, parents that have had their kids life-flighted to the hospital and left home so fast they have nothing at all wih them - ie wallet).I have never stayed in one, but I have used their laundry facilities when my son was in the ICU for a few days. The staff seemed very nice and helpful.

Ditto to all of the other posters. We also stayed at the RMH and it was a good experience. We are not "needy" by some standards but we were in need--CF care is expensive and hotel rooms for prolonged stays are costly. Do not feel guilty about using this service. We have also purchased items for the RMH--toiletries, laundry detergent, etc. That is another way to "give back". They are a worthwhile organization!

That's awesome, thanks guys! I'm glad to know that they do it on a "priority basis". It makes me feel better to know that I'm not taking a room from someone
