room air purifiers

I'd wondered about the UV ones as well. Saw an ad several years ago about some sort of uv lightbulb system one could ad to their existing furnace, but couldn't find much info in it.

We have a Whirlpool Whispuresure Hepa filter system and like others have said, really smells fresh and clean when I walk into that part of the house.

I purchased the honeywell 50250 a couple months ago. It is a little loud when on the highest setting but it is a good air purifier for the money. It has the hepa and charcoal prefilter. I also bought a smaller one(another honeywell) for the bedroom, which seems to have helped as well. You definitely want the hepa filter and charcoal prefilter.
