RSV Vaccination

Our clinic has told us to wait until our next scheduled visit in November for my 4 month old son's first injection. Should he be having this sooner? We live in Orange County in California and are new to the USA so I have no idea of flu seasons here, except of course now that it is fall, so I would have thought he should have it sooner rather than later. ANy advice?

I seem to recall the timing corresponds with the seasonal flu season, so November thru March is usually the norm. It's been awhile since DS had his though.

Luke has gotten his November through March, sometimes into April if it has been a particularly bad season for respiratory viruses. I think most insurances will pay for up to 6 injections. You should be fine to start in Nov.
