I haven't had much time to get online lately, so I'm not sure if anyone has seen this yet or not. It's not a cure but it is good news.

yes, I was pretty excited. The other thing I saw was using bacteria and nitrites (?) could kill off the bad bacteria in CF lungs allowing for more traditional antibiotic treatment. Makes the future seem very bright, doesn't it?

What is interesting to me is that (at least in the hospitals I've been in) they've been using hypertonic saline for years to induce sputum cultures. The higher salt content evidently can help loosen mucus and make it easier to cough something up. For that reason alone it ought to be part of our regemine.
