I know it is tough to keep advocating sometimes, but we don't think you are crazy so hang in there and let us know!

Some of these symptoms are similar to my son's. I was just very very persistant.
His sweat test was 43, borderline. But from what my CF nurse says, if the doctor has a reason for concern medicaid will pay for tests, quicker than a private insurance. My son was on medicaid at the time, and now on CHIPS which is state children's insurance...and I NEVER had trouble with medicaid covering anything a doctor ordered. Now EVERYTHING takes approval. I would definitely talk to the doctor & push for ambry test. It's worth the fight. I hope you get some answers soon. Good Luck and God Bless

YES!!!!!!! I can totally relate 2 that! Currentlywe are waiting for my son's full panel genetics test to come back with a difinitive diagnosis. Did I mention ha's already eight! The symptoms have been there sincce birth, and it was actually suggested that a sweat test be done when he was 8 mths old, but was forgotten in leui of an asthma diagnosis. It was his GI doc that finally ordered the test. It's the worstthing waiting for these results. His sweat tests were borderline (3 of them) and the first genetics panel came back negative. I was so hopeful and then the pulmonologist said that we weren't clear yet as he still thinks my son has cf. This is a great place togather pretty accurate info from those in the trenches though so ask any questions you have here and at your doc's. As for the Medicaid thing my son is being seen at an accredited facility and he has Medicaid. so check with you local provider to see what the rules are in your state.
