SCARED OF MY PSEUDOMONA CULTURE

Hey, I got it when I was 11 too, and I know they tell you that you'll never be rid of it, but with IVs I haven't grown it for a year. My mates were fine about it all, and the teachers are always really helpful... Don't worry! x

Hearing you have a culture can be very strange. Honestly, I don't remember when I found out I had pseudomonas, but I've had it for as long as I remember. At least in my case, it is kept pretty well under control with nebs. Occasionally if it is giving me more trouble than usual I'll go on an antibiotic and that will do the trick to get it back under control. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Try to not let it limit what you do and keep your head up. I am an EMT and soon to be firefighter. I try not to let CF limit what i do so dont let pseudomonas get you down and just keep taking your meds. Hope this helps you feel better.

I have chronic bouts with pseudomonas.
As long as you stay on your meds for it you'll be OK.
Don't let it get you down.
