I just got my flu shot in clinic yesterday here in Texas. They've had them for a week or two. They also gave DH his flu shot at work the other day. I asked my nurse who said they are good all year, not for a limited amount of time and that that's a myth. Either way, I'm glad I got it already. I agree there may be a shortage cause so many are getting them this year... I heard two people at Walgreens today say they had never gotten a flu shot in their lives and they were getting it today. I think H1N1 has scared people enough to get it (even though its the wrong flu vaccine for that).

Emily got hers the end of August. They were not routinely giving them that early (due to not yet having a large supply) but she was in for her yearly checkup and given her risk factors they felt it made sense to do it then. My other kids are going in next week for theirs; my dh and I are going next month (the soonest our pcp is offering them.)
