Second try home IUI

Last month we tried our first home insemination. After less than a week I was feeling sensitivity in my breasts, nausea in the middle of the night, and fatigue. I took a test after only 8 days and it was positive. We were so happy and I went in to the doctor for the blood test the same day. It was a chemical pregnancy (meaning I had a miscarriage). It was really hard to deal with as we barely had time to enjoy being pregnant.

So a week ago we tried again. It is so hard to stay positive. Even if I get a positive test in the next couple days, I'm afraid to lose it again. We're visiting our families for Christmas and I wanted this good news so bad. Also, because we'll be traveling while I ovulate this month, we will have to wait until February to try again.

I know it's early in this process, but it was really defeating to start with a miscarriage our FIRST attempt. It would have been easier to just not succeed the first time.

I just needed to vent a little.

Sorry.

I'm so sorry you had to go through that, but just know our bodies are smart and discharges things that are not good for us. Maybe that child would have been really really sick...who knows. One of these times it'll stick for you! Try not to put a time limit on it, it will just stress you out more.
And try to still have a Happy Holiday!! =)

Btw~ this is going to send really dorky but I thought male Cf'ers had to do IVF??? So do not all cf men lack vas defrens?(SP?)
