severe chest and gum pain......anyone have this

hey there. my husband is very newly diagnosed with CF and he is complaining about severe chest pain and his gums hurting him. he has also been spitting up blood. Anyone have these symptoms and if so, do I need to take him the the CF clinic or to the hospital

I've never heard of gum pain being associated with CF. Anyway, if it's still happening, go to the hospital and just call your CF clinic to let them know.

If he has severe chest pain and is coughing up blood, his drs. should know about this.. He may have an infection or some other reason for the pain and the hemoptysis..

As far as the gum probs, does he have gingivitis? Maybe a trip to the dentist would also be a good idea..

Call the Dr.'s.... with bloody mucus to much time wondering and waiting can be too much time wasted... Keep us posted and call the dentist too.
