Shaking with a tummy ache

Alyssa has had some sort of virus this week. Thankfully it doesn't seem CF related. She ran a temp for a few days and has had many days of some seriously yucky diapers. So I'm guessing its a stomach bug of sorts.

Anyway, all week she has been super unhappy when time to do the vest. She usually is so great for it, but has been whiney from the time I pull it out and through the session, so much so that we've had to end early a few times, something I've never had to do since we got the vest 2 months ago. I'm wondering if all that shaking while her tummy isn't quite right is just bothersome? Yesterday I just did CPT instead of the vest and she seemed fine with that. Today I think I'll do the same.

Since my dd isn't very communicative yet, I'm wondering if others have done the vest when they had stomach problems and if it is as bothersome as I imagine.

The vest often made Ry nauseous even if he wasn't having a serious stomach issue. So I'd say yes, give her a few days of CPT to let her stomach calm down.

Sometimes I just do manual CPT for the girls if they are not feeling well or are just having a bad day and not cooperating with the vest well. I think that it is a great idea to do that in case her tummy is upset. I know my girls do not like to do the vest if they have a tummy ache.

I hope she is feeling better soon!

We still do the vest because Ainsley prefers it to the manual CPT. I just try to be real careful about feeding her dairy, because it will upset her stomach and I wait a while after she's eaten before doing treatment.

Aidan has had a few nasty , non CF viruses this winter and I also forgo the VEST when he has them. When his stomach hurts and has a raging fever, he fight the VEST and I can't blame him. We go back to CPT while he sleeps in these cases.
