Personally, I would go to the CFF.org website and click on the 'review care center data' (then register on the site if you need to so you can view data for individual centers) for the various Florida clinics. Living in the Orlando area, you will be within a couple hours travel time of several clinics- probably more choices than many of us have w/in a couple hours of driving time- and the statistics for pulmonary & respiratory status vary quite a bit from the clinic with the lowest to the one with the best.

I know statistics alone aren't the only thing to go by, but it is a valuable starting point when moving to an area with multiple choices, I think. Several clinics there are substantially below the national average in both areas, whereas a few are above average & improving by the year. It would be good to go into your decision armed with this information.

Shawn, Could you share with us what it was about Duke that you liked that you don't think Nemours offers? Maybe together we can help you make sense of it and assure good care at Nemours or another site.

By the way, I live in CT so definitely don't have vested interested in any of them I jus wantt help you get the best care and be at peace with your decision.

Sometimes we just have to be the squeaky wheel a bit more at some clinics. As long as they are coachable this isn't a bad scenerio.

Please share some details if you don't mind.

first of all, thanx to everyone for there comments.
harriett, thank you for that info. i never knew that was there. it seems to me that almost all the centers are pretty close. none of them are well above avg in any catagory.
i think i am leaning towards nemours in jax. the wifes parents live there and that would be good for lily to get a visit in with nana & gampa after clinics.
loulou, it seemed ok when we where at nemours but when we went to duke the visits turned into 3-4 hr visits. im am all for docs spending time with us. at nemours we were in & out 45min tops. looking back it just didnt seem like they were doing much. maybe she didnt have as much going on at the time.
thanx again to everyone for help.
