Last Culture I had moderate Mucoid PA and three strains of MRSA...then went on IV's and felt much better...havent had a culture done since.

I am on aztreonam now though, so my PA should be better..as should my MRSA with the IV's I was on...

My last culture showed.... light non-mucoid pa, and cepacia....moderate to heavy . Ironically i have an aspergilloma ( fungus ball) yet do not culture aspergillus. Hmmmm come to think of it that might be because i am on vfend ( antifungal) for the fungus ball and it has probably killed the aspergillus but not the fungus ball.... YET.... I still have hope.

Hmm...I think that my last culture showed PA (heavy), steno, regular staph and cepacia (heavy). Those four are the usual contenders in my lungs...I have grown other stuff out though, some wierd but usually only one timers.

I feel like that Mucinex commercial with all of those germies sitting around having a party in my lungs!

what did your doc say about the oregano? Any studies or info to look into?

I've recently cultured achromobacter, which my doc says is bad, rare, and not well understood. In addition to the normal P.A. and staph. We tried beating it with strong IV drugs when it was fresher and it subsided and came back shortly after. bummer.</end quote></div>

I have submitted a ton of info on here regarding oil of oregano and how I was doing on it a while back. You might be able to search for it here. No there aren't any studies on it, but using the OO make me well enough to go back to work, and was the only thing that improved me (4 weeks of oral and IV AB's in the hospital didn't help me as much as the OO did). I'm sick of bleeding and feeling great, so i'll probably start up on it again soon. My cultures while on OO were always better than when off it (like my last culture).

Google oreganol P73 and read up on it. It's basically an all natural antibiotic that kills via heat, hence the bacteria can't become resistant to it. It's one of the few essential oils that's safe for internal use. Other essential oils also kick the crap out of microorganisms, but aren't safe for internal use...Like tea tree oil.
