Yes Amy I think there is something to the carriers having some CF symptoms. Of course there will be some people that say they r a carrier and have none, but I think there really is a pattern of symptoms of carriers. I had once looked into the few research cases there were in this area, I can't remember, but I think they concluded it was inconclusive to say CF carriers had a mild form of CF of something like that. I think if they really looked hard at the CF gene they may find a lot of asthma people have one of the CF gene. Being a male and only a carrier has been shown to be a cause of sterility (lack of vas defernces). My 4 yr old who is a carrier had a lot of breathing problems when he was younger w/ wheezing and his ped once stated, "Isn't this back a$sward, you have one child with CF and no breathing problems, then another child without CF and breathing problems"
