Should I move to NJ or CT?

My husband is likely to have comparable job offers for both locations. The NJ one is the Union area and the CT one is the Ridgefield area. He is willing to commute 40 min. I'm lucky to be in the position to pretty much call the shot which one he takes. I have had a lot going on lately and feel behind in my research of two areas and states in general.

Both jobs are far enough from my current employment that I will either have to telecommute or find another job...or go on SSDI.

Do you see an advantage to one state over the other? cf related, financial, taxation, etc. Any advice is appreciated.

I'm not really sure what to tell you but for what it's worth, my cousin (also has CF) worked in Jersey, outside of Philly for a while until he decided to relocate b/c the air quality was so bad it was affecting his health. I'm wondering if maybe the air would be better in CT. Then again, it'd be so fun to be so close to NYC. Best of luck with your move, where ever it may be!

I'm sure there are advantages to both locations. I'm not sure what the difference is in air quality??? Also, which is closer to a good CF center? We had to decide between NC & SC, then it changed to TN & GA...we were comparing taxes, housing, CF centers & dr selection. Forgot to do air quality!!!

When are you thinking of making the move?
