Well, certainly there are MUCH more factors to be considered, but my ivote, based solely on the variable of air quality, is CONNECTICUT!

Off topic joke: Why does New Jersey have so many toxic waste dumps and California has so many lawyers?

Answer: New Jersey got first pick. *rimshot*

I hope you will come to the best decision that works for your family on all levels. Job choices can be tough. I'll be praying that it comes together for you without too much anxiety!

I dont know if you would even financially qualify but check to see if each state has a special supplementary health program (like MI) where they supplement any existing insurance etc or are 1' if you have no other and cover a great amount of the medical expenses for life (or until govt axes it). It is based on income and family size so now that you are 3, especially if you were no longer working you would possibly qualify.

Also there are groups I found via google when considering my own move that will rate all school districts on sets criteria etc for you so that might be worth looking into since you would have so many districts to consider.

Hubby and I are not moving far but what we did was figure out where we want to focus on which for us meant we did a map again via some websites that was a 25 mile radius around where we work (longest commute I am willing to make). Then we marked out any low lying areas that are chronically wet:swamp marsh bog stream lake etc since that is a real trigger for me then we marked out any areas with bad schools and all areas that are too 'in town' for us, then highlighted areas with top 3 schools and went from there.
