Should I work on a bacteria free environment for my son

could I just say that I keep ALL my fruits and veggies in the frig? This includes onions and potatoes. EVen though I cook all the time and use up my supplies before they go off, who knows how old they are in the store? I didn't know about the b. cepacia thing, but I hope the refrigeration practice will lower the chances!

We don't clean like crazy or anything, but I keep a nice home. I figure all kids need to be in the world of dirt and microorganisms!

I think the more "green" you can go the better in terms of air quality in the home and less damage to furniture and such. Tea Tree oil and Thyme oils are anitmicrobal and can be added to a simple all-purpose spray (or if you can find the one listed just follow the recipe):

* 1/2 tsp baking soda
* 1 tsp Borax
* 2 TBSP white vinegar
* 1/2 tsp liquid glycerin soap
* 2 cups boiling water
* Then add ten drops of GERM AWAY essential oil from NATURAL SENSE (Aromatherapy) Orono, Ontario; LOB 1MO; 1-888-tea-tree

I think I focus most on the kitchen and bathrooms. I do wash bedding on super hot water and I may even put a few drops of essential oil in the wash now that I'm thinking about it.

We do also have 2 air purifiers which were gifts from my parents. They are from http://www.iqair.us/ and they work great. Ours haven't been on for a while because the filters are a bit pricey to replace. They use these in hospital operating rooms and in alot of the homes on ABC's Extreme Home. They have been helpful during allergy season for my husband and I.

I also feel that GSH (Glutathione) helps to keep the lungs clear by giving them added antioxidents to keep bacteria at bay.

You are a great mom and should never feel like his illnesses are you fault. They need to touch the earth and splash in the rivers like everyone else. He will be on the mend shortly and back to himself. The hospital is so draining and makes you feel so vulnerable...lots of support to you.
