Last week my daughter received a letter from the twins school stating that a child in the school system has MRSA. Tiffany called the school to find out more information and of course they wouldn't give her any....She then offered to come to the girls class and supply large containers of purell and they said that they have the wipes in the classroom if the kids want to use them....geeze. So now she is going directly to the teachers of both kindergarden classes and see if she can give them to them that way and give alittle talk about CF. They act like its no big deal but it was a big enough deal to send home a note!!!!!!Has anyone else been through this before? She doesn't want the girls to bring home anything to Grayson.

I'm pretty sure that a child with an active mrsa skin infection is not allowed to come to school until the infection is cleared. Obviously its not impossible, but highly unlike that the twins would contract the MRSA, much less to bring it home and Grayson would inhale it into her lungs. Its all pretty remote -- but I'd call your CF center and see what their thoughts are on this.
