Shoulder breathing pain?

I'm having a sharp pain high up in my left shoulder when I'm breathing. It only hurts when I'm in certain positions, like lying on my back, or standing straight up. Also, it hurts worse when I breathe in, and it almost always hurts when I cough, no matter what position I'm in. My shoulder has full range of motion, and there's no pain as long as I'm not breathing. I'm wondering if it's a small pulled muscle, or maybe just misdirected pain (the pain is really in my chest, but my brain thinks it is in my shoulder).</end quote>

First of all, is yours better, Mockingbird?

Second of all, I have the very same pain, in the very same spot as I type this!! I even tried a heating pad last night, but the pain didn't respond to the heat It was even radiating across my shoulders last night. I tell ya...

I also tried heat and it didn't help.

At one point, the pain was in both my shoulders, too, but its gone now. I think it took about a week or two to fully go away.

I have been having another kind of pain; a bruised, weak feeling in my lungs, but I think that's due to TOBI or hypertonic saline or something. I finished a round of TOBI on Monday, so hopefully the bruised/weak feeling will start feeling better.

Well, I'm glad the shooting pain is gone for you & hope that the bruised feeling goes away too.

My shooting pain is actually better today...we'll see if it flares up when I try to sleep
