side pain

Yes.
Not so much since I was transplanted but I certainly remember the pain in my side.
It almost felt like pleurisy but it couldn't have been because it was restricted to my side.
I don't get it much anymore but it does happen at times.

I get sharp pains in my sides (in the lung area) quite often and they generally flair up with exertion. I brought it up to my doctor and she said that the spots where the pain is coincide with scaring in my lungs that she sees on my xrays. She said that it's common that scarring can cause pain like that because it makes it easier for the mucus to get stuck there. I don't know if that's what is going on with you, but that's my experience. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
