I have heard it has been discontinued. I have been trying to track one down for the longest time and, on the most recent order, I received an email stating that it had been discontinued. As far as someone receiving one recently, there are probably still some floating around, but I assume they must not be making them anymore.

Invacare is the manufacturer and I could not get one through them.

I don't know what to tell you. Good luck!

found this by googling, I was curious what the sidestream was as I use a PARI LC plus for my nebs. It says its discontinued at the top of the page. <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://phc-online.com/neb_sidestream.shtml
">"><a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://phc-online.com/neb_sidestream.shtml

</a></a> Edit,
sorry thought that was invacare's site, but that dme carrier seems to have it listed as discontinued also.

Okay I talked to Invacare and they said that they are the manufacturer of the Sidestream and they have discontinued it. It is not available through another company since they were the manufacturer.

The reason they have discontinued it is because they have partnered with Salter Labs to create the NebuTech HDN 8660 - 6 mo. reusable nebulizer that they feel is superior to the Sidestream.

I posted about this nebulizer <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://forums.cysticfibrosis.com/messageview.cfm?catid=5&threadid=16999&enterthread=y">Nebutech HDN 8660 post</a> here.

I am working on getting in vivo studies from Salter Labs with Pulmozyme and Tobi to compare to particle size that Pari LC PLus neb creates.

Once again we have uncovered information here in record speed likely before the doctors even know about it.

Those of you that love the sidestream you better snap up the remainder at your DME and/or clinic.

This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Elaine is determining if a date is 'sponge-worthy' (as in Today's Sponge contriceptive device).

You might need to start asking yourself is this neb treatment Sidestream worthy? haa, ha!
