i see nothing wrong with it if you have a good support system. whether or not you feel confident that you will live long enough to raise your child. anything could happened to anyone, not just cf taking your life.

i support you 100% if you feel healthy enough do it. i wouldn't trade my little girl for the world. i know if i didn't have my husband it would be extrememly hard, but i could manage.

I'm not single and I don't have CF, so I hope you dont mind if I share my opinion.

I think that if you have the financial resources to raise a child on your own, and you have a good support system in place in case something happens to you, then go for it!

I'd highly recommend looking into Aflac ins. now before you get pregnant, that way if there are complications of the pregnancy (like if you require bedrest) and have to miss work, if you have been on aflac for at least 1 year before the pregnancy then there is no "pre existing condition" clause and you will get paid because you can't work.

Sounds like you've got it pretty together and while it's nice for children to have a mother and a father there are pleanty of households with just one parent and the children are happy and loved and thriving.

If this is what YOU truly want, then go for it. I don't have a single regret about having our children despite the financial situation we are in because of the multiples factor. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat and can't imagine my life without them. Do it if you heart desires!
