Sinus congestion...

1. Pseudoephedrine (the Sudafed behind the counter, not in the isles) is just fine unless you have a heart issue. Often times you can get an anti-histamine combined with pseudoephedrine (Allegra D, Claritin D, etc)

2. Intranasal steroids are Rx but they do amazing things for stuffy noses and congestion. Unlike Sudafed, intranasal steroids are NOT PRN. They have to be taken on a consistent basis. But man, they work wonders.

Take care

Mucinex and phenylephrine hydrochloride are both over the counter and don't have the side effects of Sudafed (feeling all revved up). I take the two together daily.

Thanks guys! I knew I had to be careful taking certain things b/c of drying up. I feel slightly better tonight so am going to wait and see what happens tomorrow.
